Congratulations to Alicia on winning the Easter Coláiste Mhuire Art Competition and Kiera who came second.
All the classes were very active during Seachain na Gaeilge, speaking Gaeilge, staging plays and taking part on Tráth na gCeist. Darrgh, Michael, James and Fionn came 2nd in the CCE Tráth na gCeist Competition held in Ballymote. The pupils have continued this good work and are now speaking Gaeilge outside class times.
Congratulations to Aoife who came second in the County Place kicking competition. Well done to all the pupils who took part.
The school celebrated Grandparents Day in February as part of Catholic Schools Week. We were delighted to share a cup of tea and pay tribute to their role in the children's lives and in the community.
We would like to thank Rosaleen Walsh and Rosaleen Colsh for carrying out CPR Training with the 6th Class during their after school.
Once again Ms McGrath and her quiz team have reached the finals of the Credit Union Quiz to be held in the RDS on 7th April 2019. Congratulations to James, Fionn, Danny and Darragh and we wish them the very best of luck.

3rd-6th class took part in the Supervalu Athletics Fest in Sligo. We had 8 teams and 1 individual running on the day. Everybody put in a great performance and should be very proud of themselves. We had two winning teams on the day. Congratulations to our junior & senior mixed teams
A massive well done to James, Ciaran, Danny and Fionn who progressed to the Credit Union National Quiz Finals held in Dublin in April 2018.
Congratulations to the girls team Tara, Aoife, Lyla and Clodagh who won their games to qualify for the Final. Also to Tara who was the overall winner of the place kicking competition.
On Friday 24th November 2017, the 5th and 6th class boys and girls took part in a basketball jamboree run in co ordination with The Mercy Secondary School and Sligo All Stars a great day was had by all. Four of our pupils Aoife Lyons, David Lyons, Steve Hannon and Darragh Colsh were selected to play at half time in the Sligo all Star game against Carlow I.T. on the Saturday
Killian Langton who is a 6th class pupil came first in 200m breaststroke in the All Irelands. Killian is a very dedicated swimmer who goes training 4 mornings a week in Sligo before he starts his school day. The school is very proud of Killian and we hope he will inspire many more pupils showing them what can be achieved with hard work and committment.
The school took part in the Supervalu Athletics Fest in Sligo on 26th September 2017. We had eight teams running on the day all putting in great performances. The team of the day were the Senior Mixed Team of David Lyons, Aoife Lyons, Tara McGowan and Steve Hannon who ran a fantasic final and were only pipped for first place.
The school council have been very busy all year fundraising and are delighted with the opening of the library and the new buddy bench in the yard
Congratulations to the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Girls on their fantasic win in the Cumann na Bunscol Plate Final. The girls trained hard under the expert guidance of Ms Denning. We are all very proud of them!!
