The Amber Schools Committee and Ms. Lawrence have organised a “Culfadda NS Christmas Kindness” innovative this year. Teachers will be pulling back on homework (there will still be some homework) from the 27th of November to the 21st of December to allow pupils to concentrate on “kindness”. The Department of Education sent each school in the country a “Cineáltas/Kindness” flag and we decided to do this before raising the flag on Thursday the 21st of December. “Choosing Kind” is an important theme throughout life, and we are going to promote it at home and in school for the advent/Christmas season. The idea is to try and complete as many of the acts of kindness as you can throughout the month, in no order. Forms are to be returned to class teachers on Thursday the 21st of December and there will be a prize for each pupil who did their best as well as a whole school afternoon treat in the GP Hall. Forms will be given out by the Amber Committee today (Monday).
